I guess Lewisville is still a mess due to the massive flooding that we have seen here in TX over the summer...2015 has been cancelled. The Mid Americas regatta will resume on the regularly scheduled regatta date, Memorial Day weekend on Lake Lewisville.

Let's see if we can get some 14's to this event.

I will be there, so you will not be the only 14 if you are thinking about making the trip.

We have 9 months to put it together, who's in?

Yep, it's a long ways out. Maybe in the meantime we can see who has Turbo rigs and perhaps make it a 14T event. However, if there are folks that would want to show that don't have a Turbo, I'd be glad to leave my jib on the beach.

I was a regular Mid-America's competitor up until 2012 when I moved to Knoxville, TN. But I'd like a good reason to head back over there and sail with Fleet 23 again.

I can't think of a better reason to spend a holiday weekend in Texas.

I will be jibless...Straight up classic una rig 14 for me.

I should change my username as I am no longer "83" and no longer "turbo" ;-) OK, so I'm in, your in, I'll bet flatlander is in...3 boats and counting.

If anyone has contact info for the last 14 fleet at mid americas, drop them a line to let them know that we are planning on putting a fleet together. It's 9 months out, we'll get a 14 fleet.

I am going to do my best to recruit a few 14's from central TX that have been out of the game for a while.

The five boats that made up the last 14 fleet at Mid-Americas in 2012 were me, Mark and Sheila Ralph, and a father and son who each had their own 14. Can't remember their names, but I bet Mark and Sheila can. We were all old school unirigs.

When I de-Turbo my boat for this regatta, I'm going to have to learn to tack a classic 14 all over again.

If anyone in the Dallas area is looking to pick up a 14 for mid americas, there are currently 2 1984 boats for sale right here on the hobie forums/classifieds/sailboats for sale.

Would love to see them both at mid americas next year!

Heads up, if anyone in the DFW area is looking for a H14, there is a nice boat (not mine) for sale on Dallas CL. It was listed yesterday and includes a boat load of extra parts (pun intended).

It will need a mast base, but the folks at Mariner sails will be able to get you fixed up.

I would love to see it, along with many others on the water over Memorial Day weekend.
