When I'm not sailing, I read the Hobie Hotline from 30 years ago! The hotline archive is an amazing resource, kudos to Hobie USA for making them available online.

Some great H14 info:

July/Aug 1985, Tuning The New Hobie 14, page 18: http://cdn.hobiecat.com/digital_assets/ ... 985_07.pdf

Jan/Feb 1986, Tuning the Hobie 14 The Florida Way by Bob Johnson, page 24: http://cdn.hobiecat.com/digital_assets/ ... 986_01.pdf

July/Aug 1987, Hobie 14 Tips for Champions by Dick Blount, page 24: http://cdn.hobiecat.com/digital_assets/ ... 987_07.pdf

Summer 2010 "This old Hobie" features setting up the Hobie 14 by Wayne Schafer, Bob Curry, and the hotline staff, page 14:

Thanks for this one. I was just googling about Ian Bashford. I believe he's the chap who started Bashford Boats in Sydney who casted many of our BB and BI serial cats here in Australia. Not much about him online but he apparently died in his mid 30's??
