I'm new to this forum.....I just brought a old Hobie 14 Turbo, and was working on the rudders. The tiller crossbar rudder adjusters were lose, is there a measurement that they should be set at? Also the plastic adj screw for the rudder up-down locks that has the slot for the screw driver has been damage ......how could I get the damage plastic screw out now? |

I thought an expert would chime in by now. as for the plastic adjustment screw, you may end up drilling it out. I believe I've seen a thread about that. As for adjusting the tiller connector, you want the leading edge off the rudder and trailing edge to be about the same. That's were you would take your measurements at. Make sure you have the rudders on the correct sides before you start. There is a good you tube video on rudder adjustments. |

I like to thank you for your reply Plastic adj screw for the rudder up-down lock ......i solved this problem by heating up a wide screw driver blade and slowing melting a new slot for the screw driver. |
