Post subject:  Shroud base connectors (chainplates?)

Recently bought a H14T and spare parts boat .... have one surprisingly good shape boat out of the pieces, but have one quick question before I continue..

The shroud connection on the side bars ....... on all 4 side bars, the "side" rivets are secure, but the ones on the bottom are all loose.

have they all just worn loose the same? or by chance are they not supposed to be tight??

Thanks for input!

Are they loose like rattling loose? Is there just a gap between the strap and the sidebar on the bottom? I wouldn't worry about it, but you can easily replace them if it bothers you. They may have been stretched out by the tension on the wire that runs under the tramp (which doesn't need a lot of tension).

(I just looked at mine and there's no gap, but I can't tell if they're loose or not. Then again, my boat has never spent any significant time rigged as a Turbo.)
