| Post subject: | Hobie 14 mast corrosion |
I’ve been looking closely at my ‘73 H14 mast and have noticed a couple holes here and there. I’m worried it has been corroded from the inside and the integrity of the mast is at risk. So far I’ve seen 5 throughout the mast. Anyone have any thoughts or experience? https://imgur.com/gallery/QfQRxSh |

Those holes look like they were drilled with some surface corrosion nearby. It is near impossible to say from photos, but it kinda looks like its Ok. I would expect corrosion that lead to a hole would not be so circular. |
