I just bought a used Hobie Cat 14. I need help threading the blocks The top block is a double and is where the rope ends in a knot. The bottom block is a triple with a ratchet in the center. There is no clew on the bottom block. I've watched countless of videos but none where the blocks are different sizes. Can someone help me? |

You have basically the same as a 6:1, but the line stops at the top block instead of returning to the lower. So steps 1 through 6. At 6, tie to the becket on the upper block. ![]() |

Not clew. Cleat. Do I need one if the bottom block’s center is a ratchet? |

You don't "need" a cleat, but they make the sailing much easier on your hands / arms. Holding the sail load all the time is fatiguing. |
