Post subject: | What hardware for the forestay. |
Hi, I just bought a Hobie 14, and it is lacking the hardware for joining the forestay with the two cables that come from each bow. Could someone put up a pick or a detailed description (with measurements even). I need to order the proper shackle(s)/ adjuster for it, assuming that is what it is. I have tried to find a detailed rigging diagram online but I can't seem to find something without a jib that even resembles the set up I will need to do for my Hobie. I have thought about putting a shackle through an adjuster but it doesn't seem to fit properly, Thanks again |

I think the nearest dealer to Collingwood (located at the southern end of Georgian Bay) is about 85 miles away - in Toronto. Fogh Marine |

Is it a turbo? When I first went to rig a hobie on my own, being a monohul/daysailer myself, I couldnt figure out the forstay in the jumble of cables. Then I realized the forestay is IN the jib. Just incase. ![]() |

No it is not a turbo, thanks though! I appreciate all of your help, and I will try to make it to Toronto to the Hobie Dealer, but it is a bit far. I was hoping to just order the stuff online form Salty Dog Marine or something. Thanks again! I really do appreciate everything! |
