Hi, I just saw some plans on the Beachcat website for Hobie 14 wings. Has anybody modified their 14 with wings? Pros? Cons? It seems like they might make it a bit more comfortable, but would sitting on a wing throw off the boat's balance? I suppose that would depend on the strength of the wind. Any comments/ideas/experience re. wings on a 14? Thanks. |

I would say you could comfortable sail a 14 while sitting on the wing. If you weighed in at 80 lbs. Any more than that, and you'll die. |

You know what WOULD be kinda cool? You know those back rests the Waves sometimes have? They might be okay if you're heavy and not in need of trapping out. |
