I live in Houston and am planning a trip down to Corpus Christi to sail. Can anyone give me suggestions on the best place to sail out there? |

I used to go straight off the beach at Bob Hall Pier. But that's a bunch of years ago. Beach access has changed some. Brian C |

Be careful of the forecast. Corpus Christi Bay can get really choppy. My buddy sailed there in a Balboa 26 and got his lunch handed to him. I seem to remember issues with launching and staying overnight too, but that was on a sloop. It might be a different story on a cat. Good luck... |

Well the answer for us was end result of North Padre Island National Seashore. Peace and quiet with all the elbow room one could ask for! Launching in the surf was fun and the winds were bout 10 mph in the am and gradually built thru the day close to 20 mph. ![]() God Bless Texas 89112 |
