I noticed on the launch map that the Shelter Island boat ramp also has beach access. I've been there and there is a sign that says something like "No vessel landing on beach". Does anyone know if they care if you launch from the beach rather than the ramp at that location? Thanks in advance! |

I answered my own question this past weekend when in San Diego. I asked one of the people directing traffic at the ramp if I would be allowed to launch my cat from the beach and they said no problem. I used the ramp anyway since I didn't have my beach wheels but I might try the beach next time to take some of the stress out of the process. |
