I don't mean to get all geeky on you guys, but you should follow safety procedures while working on your stuff.

I grabbed a grinder with a wire wheel yesterday and was going to do just one little spot repair. I usually wear safety goggles, but this was going to be a quicky. I squinted and cranked the sucker up and blam, right in the eye. A wire came out of the wheel and pierced my cornea. I tried to get it with a magnet, I thought it was a speck, no luck. I tried to grab it with tweezers and couldn't get it. When I blinked, my lower eye lid would get caught on it and it would wiggle inside my eye. Yeah, it hurt.

Emergency room time! They numbed me up and yanked that sucker out. Gave me a shot, gave me some drops and said I should go see an optometrist. The doctor was a hottie. She had a little nose ring and a very steady hand. She thought I was an idiot. I was, but I was keeping her employed.

Of course she was...comming from a doped up blind man...sorry, couldn't resist :)

Anyway, definitely always use PPE (personal protective equipment), especially when it comes to the eyes.

As stated above I was doped up and blind. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Jacques, You should come up here let me sock you in the eye and we'll got to the emergency room for an assessment.

Rick, I was behind 2 days but got it done.

Don't be an idiot like me just put the safety glasses on.

Ear plugs are a good idea too, unless you want hearing like mine...

Huh?

And J, don't forget the next time you head this way... When the Texans head for cover, you should too.
