Anybody know of anyone in Chicago area that knows how (and has done) hull bottom jobs on a 16? I prefer not to attempt this, lest I end up screwing up my hulls. ![]() |

Its really hard to mess up You can always sand away your mistakes away Unless you are racing a bottom job can probably wait My 16 had a really bad drag area however hobies have really thick keels half the fun of a hobie is working on them Gary |

I really need to get em' done, the beach here is all sand, so every time ya beach it, its gets "sanded" a little.....They've developed flat spots. |

If you do not race Try Marine Tex and place a little on the flat spots I have done this with a few boats with really good results important to mix per instructions Marine Tex is also good to have in the Hobie Hell Box The above fix is really fast and easy Gary |
