My old trampoline (original from 77) is showing its age. It has been stored inside for most of its life, so the fabric body is still sound. The old age shows in the rivets. I ordered a grommet kit and plan to double up the grommets across the whole tramp. This will cut the grommet spread from 5 1/2 down to 2 3/4 inches...Next comes the lacing. I'm sure the added displacement of loaded grommet points will prolong the life of the tramp. What should I use as lacing material-to stretch or not to stretch?? That is the question. Will the extra grommets be enough or should I use shock cord as well? It was originally laced with non-stretch cord. Thanks community! |
