repairing the thread on the rudder plastic adjustment screw for the cam pressure.( hobie 16)

A little more detail would be helpful...are you trying to repair the thread on the aluminum rudder casting or on the plastic screw itself?

If the plastic screw is stripped, then just chuck it and get a new one.

If the threads in the casting are damaged, then probably your only option is to chase the threads with a tap (you can even make your own thread chase by getting the right size bolt and cutting two reliefs in the threads).

Thanks for the help, it is the thread in the rudders that is corroded. Good idea, i will look for a
bolt to suit.
