I'm surprised that no one has replied to this yet, so I'll take a stab at it. For years I used to re-glue my peeling sail numbers with contact cement. It would last for a while, but not long enough. About 10 years ago I brought my sails in to a sail maker to patch holes and wear and tear, etc. I told him about my sail numbers. He replaced my red sail numbers with cloth ones that he cut out from red cloth and sewed them on. They don't crack or peel. They'll probably last forever. Richard |

J.D. - I sail a Hobie 16. I've met you and your girl friend several times at the launch ramp parking area at Santa Clara Pl. We went whale watching last year and ran out of wind. You saved my butt when you lent me a spare paddle. I live near Mission Bay so I sail mostly at Sail Bay & the ocean. I occasionally go to Lower Otay Lake near the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista during the winter. Plenty of wind and it's usually warmer and windier there. Richard |

Sorry to hear about you breaking up with that girl. She went sailing with you often. I though she was a keeper. Still biking, sailing, kayaking, running...... I like those new banners they put up at Santa Clara Pl. by that wastewater project - Hobie Cats sailing on Sail Bay. My e-mail: [email protected] Richard |
