You guys have any suggestions for what works well to repair scratches and dings in carbon EPO blades. In a few places I need to repair just the thin clear finish layer. I think it's epoxy but it could be polyester. |

Epoxy will amber badly if you don't provide UV protection. To repair the outer clear coat, you need clear coat resin. US Composites sells a surfboard resin - "Silmar 249 Clear Polyester Surfboard Resin", here: http://www.uscomposites.com/polyesters.html (scroll down). Note that you'll need to get the sanding aid (surfacing wax) for it, otherwise, it won't cure completely. |
