These fittings are screwed into a molded in recess that has been threaded at the factory - you don't want to try and install one of those in a spot where there isn't already a fitting - this won't work, they need something to hold onto - better to use a standard rivet and pad-eye arrangement...not the screw-in style fittings if you want success. Sorry for the bad news. |

Thank you very much! I hate to thing of the mess I would have made if I gone ahead with this on my 1700 dollar hobie. |
