I have a "Holder 12" that has been sitting in storage in the hot Bakersfield sun (it's supposed to be 107 today!) for about 15 years. The fiberglass (I'm assuming) is fuzzed out! I emailed the Hobie store down in San Diego and got the suggestion of sanding off the fuzz then paint or gelcoat it. Can anyone give me a little more details? What grit sandpaper? Wet or dry? What kind of paint? Thanks. |

Id think it would be difficult to sand the fibers... Maybe paint (Urethane) then if still rough... sand a bit and paint again. My guess is medium grit 150-200. |
