Post subject: | Pitting corrosion on rear beam |
Hi all Has anyone observed that kind of corrosion on their catamaran? This is happening on the rear beam of mine, and I can see it on loads of locations. I don't know whats best to do. It seems to be microbiological corrosion, and I dont know how to stop it. Thanks for your responses Mag |

Can’t see the pic. What model Hobie? Corrosion is very common anywhere you have stainless steel (i.e. rivets and fittings) in contact with aluminum plus the presence of salt water. sm |

Thanks I am struggling to put the pic from my phone directly on the post. So this corrosion happens when it’s dry. And where the holes are, there is no rivets ![]() |
