Post subject: | trampoline frame not attached to hull properly |
Hi all We have an old Hullcat 14. I'm not at all sure of the correct terminology for different parts, but have a boat problem. On our first use after some years, one of the posts holding up the trampoline frame has fallen into the hull. Any advice how to fix this? |

Hullcat? I assume you mean Hobie Cat. The bottom of the pylon is fiberglassed to the inside of the hull. Sometimes the fiberglass can break free causing the pylon to move around. You’ll need to cut an access hole to get inside the hull and re-attach the pylon using fiberglass and epoxy resin. There was an article in the Hotline a few years ago describing the process. http://www.w1dm.com/Projects/HOTLINE/09-09-10%20HOTLINE.pdf sm |
