I'm blunting and sizing my battens and noticed I have a 2" tear through both sides parallel to the batten "sleeve?" don't know on the leech side. They're just right in the first inches where the jib has smacked the mast in the past. Whoa. smack mast past. Ok so should i use tape here? I would have to reach in there somehow to hand stitch... they don't go through to the isolated and riveted portion,1/4" short of that on the top batten. Btw are there seminars for the hobie club in O'side on sewing and seamanship in general? I would be interested, especially if it was over zoom or something. (save gas, get a sailboat) new tshirt
