i've got mold/grit stuck in the non-skid of the hulls. is it ok to pressure wash the hulls? seems like a pressure wash would clean out the nooks and crannies. thanks-

I hope so. I just did my H18 last weekend. Though I was worried about water infiltration so I kept the washer as far from the hull as I could and still get it clean. It worked like a charm for the non skid. I am interested to hear what the others have to say.

On a related note. The sides of my hulls are white and they have 'stains' of light green on them (I assume from some water borne thing like alge). I could not get them off no matter what I used. I tried Comet and I even tried rubbing compound. It appears the stain is right in there. If I feel it the surface is smooth and I can't feel a change in texture between the clean part of the hull and the dirty part. Anyone have an idea what this is and how to clean it.

Pressure washing:
It will work, but be careful, especially around any vinyl graphics - it will peel them off. I've always preferred a good, stiff scrub brush for the non-skid. 3M makes a non-skid cleaner, available at West Marine.

Hull Stains:
Anything with oxalic acid in it (Zud, Barkeeper's Friend, FSR) will remove the stains.
