I know there are a lot of hull restore tips out here but wondered has anyone had any recent experience with Penatrol for Hull restoration? I’m working with 1980 H16 and was shocked to see the color and texture that was hiding under the old numbers and Hobie stickers when I removed them. I would like to get the boat back to that and was given Penatrol from the local sail shop. Then I got home and looked it up on the forum hoping to see some positive results. Everything out here is from a few years back, has anyone use this product lately with positive result? Can I wax over this to lock in the shine and keep out the dirt? |

For permanent results wet sanding and rubbing compound are guaranteed. Apparantly Penetrol is not something that any wax will seal in, it's purported to be a sealer in itself, although, everything I've read states it only lasts from one to six months. |

Use the Penerol on all the black anodized aluminum. BUT use a old rag and gloves. That *)(*(* is bcad on your hands. It is suppose to bring the black shine back. I used a $1 can of Bon Ami to clean my white hulls on 17. They shined like class after I go all the green mol of from years of neglect. Try it. Doug |
