Howdy - Taking down the mast a few weeks ago I managed to break one of the clips on the bungie that is designed to keep the mast straight. Does it really do anything productive and should I replace it? I have sailed a couple of times with it detached and it sails fine, though I suspect that the aerodynamics of the sail are worse as it appears to overrotate. Thanks, k |

That bungee is to help keep the jib sheets from tangling in the base casting. Not critical, but a hassle when they get tangled. |

I haven't had any issues with the jib sheets tangling, but will fix it anyway just for optics. Thanks for the education. J |
