Hobie Family Fun Week coming up again at the Bitter End Yacht Club, Virgin Gorda, Tortolla BVI. http://www.beyc.com/index.php/Hobie-Wav ... -Week.html This is a REALLY nice place in the BVI. They have a fleet of Waves and Getaways. I got to go down last year and am going again this Thanksgiving week. This is an annual event Hobie has been involved in for a few years now. |

Tough job, but somebody's got to do it... Right, Matt? |

Yeah... Greg Thomas and I this year. This is a tough assignment. I could get a sun burn! |

Matt work on the powers to be, sounds like a good chance for a dealer meeting! |

Nah... That's the same time I'll be down at the Laguna Madre doing speed runs in the shallows. Planning to head down for two weeks this year. |

That is one of my most favorite places to go. My screen saver is a picture of Saba Rock I took from the trail above the Bitter End. Do you sail to any of the other islands? They also have Waves at Deadman's Bay on Peter Island. That place is pretty cool too. Glad you are getting to go Matt. No one represents Hobie and it's customers better than you. Have fun! |

Oh gawd... Now Matt's head will be even bigger than before. ![]() Maybe Matt will introduce some of his team that gets the parts to the dealers that keep you on the water. Because they're a huge part of the Hobie thing too. |

Thanks drgatsea! We stick to Virgin Gorda during the event, but last year I did get to do the Wreck of the Rhone Dive and a trip to the Baths (sailed down there on Beneteau 50) along with some snorkling. We do some extended sailing trips around the bay there on Waves and Getwaways along with a few days of course racing. Fun Time! |

The Rhone and the Baths. You are doing it right. The bow of the Rhone is a great dive, so much history down there. We did it once at night. That was a little creepy swimming into that ship at midnight. Not sure I would do that again. Another good wreck dive near the Bitter End is the Chikuzen. Weather has to be right to go there, but lots of big fish. Hope you have a great trip! |
