I have a 17 and we get on over the front crossbar. On the Getaway it looks like the tramp in the front is a much lighter materiel, Is it safe for a 300 lbs guy to scurry across to get to the main tramp? Is there a better way onto the boat? I am pretty sure I do not fit under the wing! Once I get on, how much weight can the wing support?

Wings are rated at 350 lbs. I don't know about scurrying over the forward tramp though. As for climbing aboard from the water, I don't know, it gets harder as I get older  :x I wonder if there is any sort of boarding ladder out there? Hmmm. Necessity = invention. Let's see if any one comes up with something. (I haven't seen a single reply to my "Socket Replacement" idea.)

I've found the easiest and quickest way to get back on the getaway (with wings) is to reach up and grab the wing seat with both hands, then put my feet up on the hull and just slide under the wing seat onto the tramp, feet first. You end up on your back. Very quick and little physical exhertion. I'm 270 and out of shape, but it's still very easy.

It is nearly impossible to get back on from the front of the Getaway. The front crossbar is really high above the water. The back of the boat is by far the easiest. I usually grab the rear wing support with one hand and place my other on top of the rear hull, just in front of the rudder. Then I just belly up on the hull, with my feet kicking for extra lift.
