Around here, the serious sailors call holiday weekends "Amateur Hour". It's when all the people with boats they just bought show up. Every single close call I've had has been on a holiday weekend with some jerkwad who doesn't know starboard from his trailer. So unless it's blowing stink (which keeps the Barneys off the water), no thank you. Life is short enough as it is. B |

I know what you mean. I can't think of a 4th that I camped or sailed that went well. Jeremy's place may be cool, there is lots of space and really no water skiers. We have a little lake up here that will be near empty. I will probably just putt around it. |
