Post subject: | Getaway windward rudder lifting while sailing |
Hello: I have a Getaway that I bought earlier this year. When I am sailing in a beam reach, with about 15 knots of wind, I have a problem with the windward rudder lifting up with no apparent reason. It is definitely deep enough where I had the problem, and this past weekend it happened to me 3 or 4 times while in the same reach (and it has happened a few times before also). Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a way to make the rudder stick down? (like tightening something). I have the EZ LOC rudder system. thanks Guillermo |

Check the rudder cam and tensioner, here is some good right up's on it. http://www.hobiecat.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=467 http://home.earthlink.net/~mattson/hobie/archives/v1-i8/feature2.htm |

On the Ez Loc... tension the bolt passing through the rudder. |
