Hello All, I'm pretty sure I have the main sheet threaded in the upper and lower blocks correctly. Is there a picture or diagram of how the main sheet should be rigged? I'd hate to think I'm not getting the power I should be getting, or that I am having to pull the main sheet too hard to sheet in. Thanks!! - Dave |

The photo in the manual is too small to see exactly how the mainsheet is rove. Can someone lead me through it step-by-step? Thanks. |

Is the following drawing correct for the Getaway's Mainsheet?  I don't think mine is correct because is does not end on the bottom block like the diagram above. Maybe this is a different block from my 2001 Getaway. I just want to ensure that I get the mainsheet reeved / threaded /setup correctly... |

As long as it isn't rubbing or crossed it will be fine - there are a few different ways you can rig blocks - they will all work (even if it's wrong and the lines cross, it will work, but there will be added friction and wear the line prematurely) You won't do any damage just experimenting though Yes that pictures shows a 6:1 set-up. not sure if Getaway was 5 or 6:1 - but it would just end at a Becket on the top block (if 5:1) or back down to a becket on the bottom is it's 6:1. |

Currently it is ending on a becket on the top block. There are beckets on both the top and bottom blocks. It does seem like there is an X and some rubbing. I will have to play with it... Thanks for your help! |

Found this diagram for a Harken 5:1. That should work for you. The "2" is a little hard to place, but if you look at where "1" goes in and "3" comes out you can make sense of it. http://www.harken.com/rigtips/Reeving_D ... Becket.php |

I should have posted when I got it fixed. Thanks though! I used this photo  I started with the cam cleat and ended with the bowline on the becket. Seemed easier to me. The photo wasn't much better in that same spot Position 2. But I got it figured out. Thanks! |
