Hi, I am thinking on buying a Gateway, but I wonder if I can put an outboard engine on it as I need to leave a protected bay to get to winds. And what limitations/parts/accesories do I need to do it?. I could not find the info in official Hobie pages. thanks! |

There's lots of information about sailors putting small electric or gas outboards on their getaways, do some searching and you will find lots of info. |

I've used a Honda 2 hp outboard on a Cheeta Outboard bracket for several years. Looked at other options but this seems to be the most popular combination of size and dependability. |
