| Post subject: | Getaway handicap |
We are going to have a couple of Getaways participating in an upcoming distance race, which we run under Texel rating. I have not managed to find the Getaway in either Texel or SCHRS. Does anyone have reasonable numbers we can use? |

Well,i am not sure how the handicap system works over there but here in Australia(Tasmania to be precise) I have been using a handicap of around 86,But,I do not have any resort gear on my boat when i race,wings,front tramp etc etc,and have been fairly succesful around this number,but the heavy getaway does prefer a bit of wind!Good luck,sounds like fun!I am envious! Let us know how you perform. Tasmania's only Getaway sailor! |
