One of the tension legs supporting a wing (aka backrest) on my Getaway broke. it is bolted into the end cap of the wing, and the bolt is so frozen that it won't come loose, sso I can;t replace it. I'm nervous about using a torch because, although the end cap is cast metal, the wing itself is a resin, and the torch might burn it. Might or might not. Any ideas? Anyone with experience removing that particular frozen bolt? |

Remove the wing cover (blue mesh material). The seat itself is aluminum. The bolt threads into a tapped hole in the casting. Corrosion has caused the issue, so a penetrating fluid and or heat can help break it free. Heat the casting close to the bolt hole, if at all possible. |

On a related note, I have trouble pinning one of the wing sides up and down. With the wing down, I can't pin the forward leg, and with the wing up, I can't pin the aft leg. I can adjust one of the legs on the cross bar, but not the other. Does anyone have a tip for adjusting these? |

The boat could be twisted? If on a beach and uneven ground? |

No, Matt, it's on a trailer or in the water. I gave it some thought, and I think if I loosen up the adjustable leg, pin both legs, then tighten the adjustable leg again, it'll be OK. |
