Yes, i know what its there for, however, the clips have snapped and need to replace the 2 clips and bungie. I forgot to take the measurement (length) i need to get,,,any one know? the boat is over an hour away from me and would like to get the parts today.....anyone know the length i need? |

Just get about 4 ft of 1/2" black shock cord, make sure you get the good stuff or it won't last. At the same place you get the cord get 3 or 4 of the little crimp rings that you can use to create a small loop on each end. Just remember to run the cord though the eye before crimping the right on. The tension is not critical just so its snug. |

i think it'd be better to use a clip on each end that way you can attach/unattach it much easier esp when derigging it for the season.... |

I would suggest buying a roll of shock cord that is the appropriate diameter for most of your needs. Get a few packages of the hog rings and a set of hog ring pliers. This way you can make whatever you need on the spot without having to know the measurement. If you need end clips, you can get them at your local marine store (i.e. West Marine). You will probably want to replace any exposed shock cords each year as they don't like the sunlight. So, getting clips may not be necessary. |
