Post subject: | Materials used for the components of rudder assembly |
I am a graduate student, I am doing project on hobie getaway. I know some broad details about the materials used to make the components of the rudder assembly Rudders- vinylester foam core with epoxy and fiberglass reinforcement rudder castings- casted aluminum tiller arm and crossbar- extruded aluminum hiking stick- fiberglass plunger- steel cam- plastic But in order to perform stress analysis, I need to know specific type of alloys and plastic that they are made of. For instance, the crossbar is made of aluminum, but the properties(like elastic modulus and strength) of different alloys of aluminum (eg: 6061 or 5052) are different. So, can anyone please provide me those details! |
