I had a very bad accident. An unsolicited helper removed the pin of one of the shrouds, the mast came down on the side and hit the edge of a boat right in the middle of the comptip. The good news is no one got hurt! The bad news is I need a new comptip. I also think a need a new luff track. Questions: .- The part COMPTIP (37611100) comes with the luff track, halyard hook, tang and mast head? .- If it does not come with the luff track already installed, how do I order it and how is it installed on the comptip? .- If that new comptip does not come with the tang, halyard hook, or mast head, I will re-use the old ones. But I will need the appropriate rivets (I think 10 in total). How do I order those? .- Do I need to specify any further? How do I make sure it will fit my getaway? .- Do I order this directly to hobie or to a dealer? Thanks and best regards. |

CompTips come with the tack, head, pulleys, halyard hook all installed. The shroud tang is not included. Order from a dealer. They can help with installation info. All Getaways use the same part, so no fit issues. |

I have a new Comptip for a Getaway. Where are you located. Still in shipping wrapper Asking. $500 plus shipping. I ordered this incase I couldn't repair mine, which I was able to do. I Think mine was around $695. Doug, I'm on long island NY. |
