Post subject:  Getaway Jib Rigging at the NORTH End

Is there any instruction or video for how to top of the jib is supposed to be attached to the mast?
The 2004 I just bought has some mickey mouse 1/8 inch line attached to ???
There has to be a shackle or something substantial in the set up - doesn't there?
Not in the manual I got either!
Help!
Thanks!

A picture would be worth a thousand words !

Sorry, trying to put the photo on here. Go to the forums, then select Getaway. At the top, you will see a FAQ for the Getaway, then select addendum near the top, it has a picture of what you are looking for.

Will try to get photo on here later.

Thanks, I got it about the fore-stay.
But what about the actual jib = the thing with all the colors that waves in the wind up front ?
What attaches that to the mast up top ?
Thanks !

The forestay is shackled at both ends. The jib is shackled at the top or bottom, and tied in the other end. Here's the topic:
