I have had a Wave for 3 years. It is served me well. Sturdy, easy to rig, easy to move up and down the beach single handed. But it really lacks the performance I want. I grew up sailing on 16's and it lighter wind the Wave is just plain slow. So, I am planning on upgrading to a larger boat with better performance. I sail solo about 50% of the time and with my kids / wife (usually just one at a time) the other 50%. I think the T2 fits my needs a little better but I am a little concerned about being on the "newness" of the T2 (they modified the European design) whereas the Getaway has been around for a long time and has a proven track record. Thoughts? |

The Getaway is proven, but the T2 has the sporty look and good performance you want. Both the T2 and the Getaway will be tougher to handle on a beach alone. |

You'll get a LOT more attention with the T2. You can always ask one of the onlookers to help... |
