Post subject:  Something wrong with this picture?

Dad noticed something odd looking with our Getaway the other day just after getting it all set up for the season again (reinstalling tramps / rigging etc). This is the forward crossbar (the one the mast steps onto). On the starboard side it seems to be protruding and on the port side it seems to have "popped" in just inside the thickness of the hull plastic.

Is this bad? Repairable? Is it just a matter of unlacing everything, squaring things up and re-lacing?

Thanks in advance for any words of wisdom.

We have seen the sleeves slip from time to time. Never saw a failure due to it. You might just try tapping it back in place. Block of wood and a steel mallet?

Macboy,
Let me know how it went... I have a similar issue (pics below).

Matt,
Do I loosen the tramps before whacking it with a sledge hammer?
Both hulls are already up against the inside flange.
The hull on the left is 0.5 inches narrower than the hull on the right - this might account for the visual differences.
