Do the inspection ports in the side lockers drain to the plugs at the back of the boat? My lockers are no longer watertight (not sure if they were ever supposed to be...) and tend to collect salt water. I'd like to give them a good cleaning. Can I open the inspection ports and the drain plugs and go crazy with the hose? |

looking into lockers there is a plug (at least on mine). there is a small port on the inside of the hull that the port drains to, but the connections can come loose or rot. Hobie dealer has replacement elbows. i thought mine leaked but it was only once, I boughtthe parts, but did not use them. |

So inside the inspection port there's a valve that drains to the "bilge", which in turn drains to the hull drains on the sterns? |

on my 2010 model there is a plug on the bottom of the cooler. this will drain the coooler to the outlsde of the hull on the inside (under the main tramp) I believe there are two small plastic tubes connected by a plastic elbow. if any part of this fails then it (the cooler) will drain to the hull and be let out the back of the hull (when tilted) |
