After a week of work in assembling today we went to water. 6 Knots in the morning and the afternoon at least 15 Knots. The boat goes very well, i think wind up the mast need more backward The extension of the rudder needs to be greater for a person to go to the trapeze I felt the need to put a Handle on seat wing, it is difficult to know where ends. Great shot... We don't recommend trapeze from the wing on a Getaway, so a longer tiller would not be included in the base package. |

The wing system telescopes and if not properly pined in place could fold unexpectedly. |

Seems like a CYA legal statement so stupid people can't sue Hobie for their own mistake. I've trapped from the wings for 6 years without issue. |

I understand mmiller and what you said makes sense, if not properly pined in place could fold unexpectedly. I could add a "keeper pin" or "Ring" to improve safety ? |

A little off topic, but speaking of wing pins, is there a way to make both pins work? I can only get one pin in each wing when deployed. |

Mine can be a little suborn at times, but between pushing or pulling I can get both wing pins in. The key is to try to look straight down at the hole to see where its off. If yours is really bad perhaps if you loosen the leg bolt where it attaches to the main cross beams you can get it aligned better, then re-tighten the bolt. |

Get a pretty long adjustable Hot Stick..I've trapped off my wings for 7 or 8 years now no problem..I always check the pins in the wings..I got a spin set up also, and like it..doug |
