| Post subject: | Getaway Spinnaker pole length? |
Hi, am looking to use an old windsurf mast as a pole. Does anyone ave the correct length for a spinnaker pole for a getaway? Yes i'm trying to make my own setup. Kit is too expensive for me in this country |

The spinnaker pole from Hobie is 126.25 inches. I think the spinnaker is a great upgrade for the Getaway. However, it will put significant additional stress on your mast. My comp-tip broke off last weekend (you can read my post on the subject for more details). Just something to keep in mind. David |

David Thanks David Have made my own spinnaker (bit dodgy but it works) and set up, but will only use in lighter winds so hopefully no broken tips..... That would make it an expensive exercise. So far the only exp parts have been a few pulleys and lots of dynema. PS: also made my own mast stepper for under $100 AUD |
