Has anyone tried adding a padding or cushion to the Getaway wings to make them more comfortable? I thought I might try making some padding from camping ground cushions. Any Ideas? |

Boat seats. Type IV PFD. Soft and cushy and can be thrown to a swimmer in trouble. |

I found a camping pad that is waterproof foam and about 1/2 inch thick. I was thinking I would remove the wing covers then recover with the padding underneath. Sailed to Cayo costa Costa couple of weeks ago, spent 2.5 hrs on that wing. Ouch! I don't have much padding down there if u know what I mean. Maybe this will help lol. |

Bicyclist shorts with padding built in. OK, I am a minimalist. |

Yeah, that's my next project on the boat. I'm going to use old ensolite pads; closed cell foam and only 1/4" thick. They are just gathering dust in the attic since Thermorest pads were invented! |

I thought about using a camp pad, cutting to to fit the top and inside of the seat. Then I'd put it under the canvas. |

I padded my wing seats last season. I bought a yoga mat (1/4" x 52" x 84") and cut into 13" wide strips. They are mold resistant. Doubled up the strips on each wing and covered with the turquoise mesh. Much better than without. |

I put pool noodles under my wing seats on my 21SE for flotation and comfort. They are thicker than the wing framing and my wings don't grab waves anymore while flying a hull. The noodles fill that space and deflect water instead of filling with water in that void. ![]() |

I got colored foam mats from Sams that people put in kids room on the floor or in front of a work bench to make standing more comfortable AND used contact cement to secure them to the wings AND to the tops of the hulls. Seriously comfortable seating on both locations !!!! |
