As anyone noticed a significant difference in performance of the Getaway in fresh water as compared to saltwater? I have sailed both the Getaway and Wave in salt water many times and both performed well. When I sail the Wave in fresh water the performance is less impressive whether sailing single handed or double handed (same crew). Thank you! Paul |

Salt water will float the boats higher. Less boat in the water is faster. Dense moist sea air can have more power per MPH than dry inland air too. |

Thanks for the responses. My concern is based on the dramatic difference I felt sailing a Wave on freshwater compared to saltwater. Thanks again. |
