The portside wing on my Getaway will not retract... the problem is that the aft support tube had been slightly bent. The bent part is the Wing Tension Leg #37091001.

Can I buy this direct from Hobie or do I have to order through a dealer?

Thanks!

When Harvey broke my wing seat off, I ordered replacement parts (including a tension leg) from backyardboats.com. Jay was very helpful and their shipping is reasonable, at least to Texas.

Good luck!

@Matt Miller: does Hobie sell replacement parts direct to consumers?

I ended up just ordered through my local dealer.

The used Getaway I bought this summer had a bent outer tube. I was able to bend it back straight and a friend used a torch to heat it up and used the inner part to push out the kink. Worked great and now it extends and retracts easily!
