Post subject: | Dented Keel from trailer |
Hi, I would appreciate any advice. I am looking at a 2004 Getaway for sale. It has some dents in the keel from sitting on the trailer as shown in the photo here https://drive.google.com/open?id=1YaPTN ... Bv8NOdUveO. Is this a problem? Should I steer away from this boat? Thanks |

I'd ask for an appropriate discount, but it would not dissuade me from getting it. There are very few used Getaways available, so ... That dent will slow you a tiny bit from turbulence at high speed, but that's about all the difference there will be. You might even be able to CAREFULLY soften the area with a heat gun and push it back into shape but I didn't have much success doing that on my neighbors boat dent. |
