Just picked up a 2004 Getaway. It's a fixer-upper but will be great! That said, I'd like to add the new orange & green decals, logo and 'Getaway' decals to the hulls. Is that set available yet? I've seen the older style decals but not the newest style. Thanks in advance!

Apparently, these aren't available? Perhaps I will make my own? I pulled this image from the manual that should be a good start.

A sticker facelift, buyer beware!

for what it's worth, I like the new designs. Sail design is real sharp too.

Did you make any progress with this project? Would love to see an after picture and hear any advice from any one on re-decalling a Getaway. Just removed most of the decals from my 2003 as they were looking pretty rough. Any ideas on getting off the last few recalcitrant letters? goobegone doesn't do it but does take off the residue. Powerwasher works but slow and tedious.

with caution, use a heat gun/hair dryer and a plastic scraper. I say caution as you don't want to melt your hull or dent it with too much pressure while removing the decal.

I second that plastic scraper. The kind that worked for me is basically a plastic razor blade in a holder. They sell a kit on Amazon for $10 or less including five blades. Also some of the dirt that was left at the edges of the old stickers came off with some rubbing alcohol in combination with the plastic scraper.

I have removed vinyl decals from many many boats. Use a hair dryer and not a heat gun. That is very important because it does not take much heat at all to start making the adhesive to where it will release the vinyl. I also agree with using a plastic scraper.
