Hi! I’m new here. I have a Hobie Getaway 2011 and am looking to hire someone to make a sail bag for my main. I’d rather give work to an individual who could use it before buying online. Please reply if you know of anyone who would be interested. Thank you.

Seriously, go to your favorite local sailmaker; take your mainsail; show him/her how you fold or roll your mainsail for storage. He/she will do a better job since he/she has the zippers and cloth needed.

BTW, the better way to store is to roll the sail around the battens; pick a batten near the middle and roll top and bottom half together into a "sortof" neat roll. That being said, the quicker way to use the sail from stored is to flake it by stacking battens one side then the other. AND, you "could" get a sailbag/lazy jack system that allows dropping the main into a bag that you just zip up.

I ordered my sail bags from cobagco on ebay along with my new righting bags. Very good quality.
