I,ve bought a brand new Comptip to replace my broken one. How can I get the instructions to dismantle the broken comptip from the aluminum mast base, and fit the new one in without damages? Thanks! |

Use at small torch and heat up metal section of mast and use a strap to pull the pieces apart. I have used a tree tied to the comp tip and the other end to a car and slowly while someone is using the torch to heat metal part of mast it makes the glue heat up which allows it to pull apart. |

Tied the mast base to my cars trailer hitch, and hammered the mast tang till the comp tip poped out. I didn't torch it, but it was sunny, and the metal mast was hot so maybe it helped? It obviously destroyed the mast tang, but the new comp tip has one installed from the factory. |
