Post subject: | Hobie Getaway trampoline pulling out of side tracks |
I have a 2015 Hobie Getaway and both the front and rear trampolines pulled out of the tracks in a couple of places when I was standing on the tramp lowering the mast last fall. I am trying to reinstall the sides of the tramps into the tracks on the boat and am discovering that the "rope" inside the side bead of the tramps is disintegrating and falling apart. Has anyone else experienced this? Can this rope be replaced or am I facing the purchase of a new trampoline when the one I have is fine except for this failing rope inside the bead on the side of the tramps? |

You can try inserting thin rod stock (knitting needle or skewer) if near the ends, to bulk the line up. |

the "Rope Bolts" can be replaced. sizing is dependent on the type of tramp tracks you have. there are two style tracks - older and newer. https://www.slosailandcanvas.com/slosc- ... ion-guide/ |

Thanks for the advice and quick response! I tried several things but had not luck getting them to work. So I'm now the proud owner of all new trampolines and wing covers! Haha! It will look like a new boat when I get them installed! |

Had the same thing happen with my replacement tramp for my 21, only the bolt rope was too soft, so I got fiberglass rods and inserted them - actually while the tramp was on. They are driveway markers, about 1/4 inch diameter by about 3 to 4 feet long. About $3 each from big box hardware store. Holding up fantastic having "loaded up" the boat with 5 people over the weekend. Several of the guys weren't exactly light either. I'm one of those... Don't know if it'll work here, but it sure is working for me! |
