My 2005 Getaway tipped over while on the beach on southern lake Michigan during a micro burst storm. I've contacted dealers in Ohio... Oregon... California to buy comptip and other parts. They all report that they have not had parts from Hobie in over 6 months. I can't even get answers as to what comes with a comptip.... luff track....mast head.... halyard hook...tang...etc. Is Hobie out of business?? Why are parts not available?? |

I have been on vacation this week, so not in the forums much. CompTips come with all attached hardware; Head, hook, luff track. Dealers should have been able to provide that information to you. We have had many supply issues due to covid-related supply train problems. Various parts have been out of stock over the years... just many more in the past two. Looks like the CompTip has been back ordered since July only. |

Thanks Matt..... By chance does the rivited tang come with a new comptip when available? I see that others have opted to use a non-comptip Hobie 16 mast. Is this viable since there is no update from Hobie as to when Getaway comptips will become available? |

The tang is on the CompTip of a Getaway. |
